I can’t believe it’s been that long. That means, in October, I’ll have had my Mazda6 for four years. And, in December, we will have had my wife’s CX-5 for seven years.
I got my 3 in August 2009 with 12,000 miles. It was a 2008 hatchback. Sold it and upgraded to my “dad car” 2016 Mazda6 in October 2015. The 3 had 74,000 miles and the 6 had...6 miles.
I like being a Mazda family. Can’t wait to upgrade to a CX-9 within the next couple of years...as long as Mazda doesn’t go out of business first.

The Mazda family is a good place to be. My parents actually just traded in their 2016 Mazda 6 touring for a 2019 6 grand touring reserve with the turbo (and in soul red). My dad also still has his 05 Miata with 60k on it.

I still think that is my favorite generation Mazda3. The new ones are just too bubbly or something to me where the first gen looked kind of muscular. I really wanted to buy a red 09 Speed3 a couple years back, but was just too much money at the time.

What did your wife have before the CX-5?

A terrible 2006 Chevrolet Malibu LT. And I mean TERRIBLE. Total lemon.

The parents of one of my friends from YouTube had one of those (2006, too) and it had a lot of problems. This was like 2013, mind you. Seven years old.
